Looking back on 2013
Wow I can’t believe it is 2014 already. It has been a long time since I have blogged. Now is a great time to look back at a few of many events we had this last year.
Just recently, we discovered our website had been malfunctioning. We have no idea for how long, but for some people they would get an error page while trying to log on to our website. YIKES!!!. Thank goodness we caught it and are up and running at 100% now and it is looking like 2014 is going to be a big year for traveling surfers.
For those of you that don’t know in March of 2013 my husband Brian Farley had a massive heart attack which caused him to flat line 4 times. He was saved by wonderful Costa Rican doctors who decided not to give up on him. He was resuscitated for over 45 minutes. Brian spent 31 days in a Costa Rican hospital and then flew to the U.S. to have a few more tests. He was hospitalized in the states for almost a month. On his return to Costa Rica (6 weeks Later) we decided to go visit the doctors that resuscitated him. We wanted to say thank you and bring them a “Thank You” cake. The looks on their faces when they saw Brian spoke volumes. The first words out of their mouths were ” Your alive?” The doctor explained to us it was a 1 in 10,000,000 chance he would survive. Brian is walking, talking proof miracles do happen. He is completely recovered and needed no surgery. He has turned his life into a heart healthy one and is on medication only.
During all of this we have kept our business up a running and are continuing to do so. One of our greatest pleasures in life is being able to book a dream come true trip for our surfing clientele. It is priceless greeting our clients on the beach after they did a trip with us. The experiences we offer to surfing travelers is like a piece of heaven. We are so blessed to be able to make people so happy. Looking forward to 2014 looks like it is going to be wonderful. We have been booking up quickly to fill this year with amazing trips. We have been getting a lot of repeat clients but also some new ones that we can’t wait to meet.
I guess all I can say is ” life is good” . Keep checking us out. I will be blogging more on what is happening out here in paradise.
